We are a vibrant multicultural group, this wing has been in existence since the group was formed.
Our purpose is to support one another, our husband’s, and children alike. Bringing integral aspects of the Igbo women’s role to the group to help promote our tradition, history, language, food, dance, and fashion amongst the group and to other communities.
The group is made up of women from diverse backgrounds and includes housewives, working women, academics and professionals.
We submit to our husbands and show great love to our children, standing shoulder to shoulder to ensure that their visions will be carried forward.
We are a great pattern of example to the younger generation, supporting eachother in times of celebration; like weddings birthdays, childbirth, coronations, house-warming. As well as being there for each other in times of need.
Igbo culture is what we hold dearly, and therefore we walk very closely with the elders and the children to promote our heritage.
We are in constant communication with one another via social media; meet every other month, enjoy summer time fun day and the End of Year Party.
Our Mission:
- It is our vision to help the needy, working with other charities representing our union in the community.
- We organise different activites for the youths, and create language classes for the children.
- We organise health work classes which relate to healthier living performed by our medical team
